For us, heading outdoors always includes coming back home.<\/p>\n

At Ebner 1822 stand three handcrafted nature holiday homes. They were built from wood, straw and clay. This is neither decoration nor a subsequently developed sustainability concept. The materials determine how the houses feel: wood underfoot, clay on the walls, a cosy parlour and large windows with a view outside.<\/p>\n

Especially in autumn, you realise how important being inside and outside together are. Taking off your shoes after a few hours in the forest, drinking something warm and sitting in the lounge. Perhaps using the Hydrosoft cabin or later lying in the freestanding bathtub and watching through the window as the evening slowly draws in outside.<\/p>\n

Autumn doesn't have to stop outside just because you close the front door.<\/p>\n

The natural pond is also part of autumn<\/h2>\n

In summer, it is quickly clear what to do with a pond: you jump in.<\/p>\n

In autumn, the natural pond takes on a different role. In the morning, mist may lie over the water. Leaves drift on the surface. The light is lower and continually changes the pond over the course of a day.<\/p>\n

On warm autumn days you can still sit by the water. And if you don't mind cooler temperatures, you might even still dip your feet in.<\/p>\n

However, you don't have to use the pond.<\/p>\n

You read a book, cook something, go out for a meal or take a short trip. Or you simply wait an hour. Because often the world looks completely different after that.<\/p>\n

Not every holiday needs to last two weeks. Especially in autumn, a short stay can make a surprisingly big difference.<\/p>\n

Arrive on the first day. Have breakfast early the next morning without an alarm clock. Go out. Hike. Come back. Eat well. And at some point realise that for hours you haven't thought about what time it actually is.<\/p>\n

Carinthia is rightly associated with its lakes. In summer, they are among the region\u2019s major attractions. But Carinthia is more than just Lake W\u00f6rthersee, Lake Ossiach and Lake Millstatt.<\/p>\n

In the Gurk Valley, the view changes. Here, meadows, woods, quiet country lanes, farmsteads and mountains characterise the landscape. The famous Carinthian lakes are still within easy reach for a day trip, but they don\u2019t have to be the focus of every day of your holiday.<\/p>\n

Ebner 1822 is therefore not far from everything.<\/p>\n

But in the end, a number doesn't decide whether a stay was good. You usually notice that by much smaller things.<\/p>\n
